H. E. ERRETT.

Mr. Errett, who conducts the glass and queensware store at 116 North Cedar Street is more and more taking the lead in the branch of trade embraced in his dealings with each succeeding year. This business was established in 1886, and at present is better prepared to meet the requirements of the trade with the latest patterns and styles in imported and domestic china, glassware and crockery of every description than ever before. This is the only establishment of this character in Nevada as well as in this section. Five careful assistants are given employment and the large stock is attractively arranged in the 2,000 square feet of floor space occupied. A millinery department is conducted in connection where the latest creations in made-up hats, fashions and Parisian styles are on hand. A fine line of trimmings and millinery supplies are carried and a specialty is made of making hats to conform with what is becoming to the wearer. This department is superintended by Mrs. Errett. Mr. Errett, the proprietor of this establishment, was born in Illinois in 1862 and there educated. He is a member of the I. O. O. F., K. of P. and M. W. A.

STUMP & SON.

Although public spirited citizens should patronize home industry, they are not to be blamed if the merchants don't handle complete stocks and quote reasonable prices, if they go elsewhere to trade. These objections cannot be raised against Stump & Son, the leaders in fashionable foot wear in Nevada, Missouri. This well appointed establishment is located on the north side of the square and was established in 1897. 2,000 square feet of floor space is occupied by the stock carried and well appointed fitting rooms. Three expert fitters and salesmen are in attendance at all times, with courteous treatment and quick service afforded all. A specialty is made of the "Nettleton" shoes for gentlemen and the "Bolton" shoes for women. They also carry a large line of rubber goods and findings. Mr. D. B. Stump, the senior member of this firm, was born in Indiana in 1856. He is a valued member of the Elks. Mr. Earl Stump, the son, was born and raised in this city.
