Things that concern the home have the particular interest of all members of the family at once. The name of Reddick & Son Furniture Company is a fixture among people who like things of quality for home purposes in the line of house furnishing goods, carpets, rugs and draperies. This firm is located at 128 North Cedar Street and was established in 1906 and has gained a meritorious reputation and stands in a class by itself when compared with similar institutions. Two floors 20x100 feet are occupieed, all of which space is heavily stocked with every class of furniture needed for either the expensive mansion or the common cottage in the suburban districts. Mr. W. H. Reddick was born in Ohio in 1865 and educated at St. Joseph, Mo. He was previously engaged in mercantile pursuits and is a valued member of the M. B. A. Mr. C. K. Reddick, the son, was born in Stanberry, Mo., in 1890, receiving his education in the public schools and Nevada Business College here. He is a member of the M. B. A. has been established for only two years, yet during that short space of
time it has become very popular among the farmers and merchants of this
section. Regular meals are served with short orders at all hours. The
proprietors of this restaurant are W. P. Estes and M. A. Craighead. Mr.

engaged as an attendant at the State Asylum, and is a member of the I. O. O. F., and Yoemen. Mr. M. A. Craighead was born in this state in 1884. He has followed the restaurant business for a number of years and is a valued member of the M. W. A. This tonsorial emporium is located at 628 East Cherry and is conducted by Mr. Joseph Amos. Mr. Amos was born in Ravana, Missouri, in 1876. He received his education in Liberal, Missouri. Three chairs are operated with shining stand, bath rooms and all else which goes to make a complete establishment in use. The place is always kept in a clean and sanitary condition. Baths can be had at almost any hour which are plain, hot and cold. Artistic hair cutting, smooth and easy shaving, facial treatments, tonics, hand massage, etc., have been important features in building up this business to its present large proportions. Mr. Amos |
is a member of the K. of P., Mystic Circle and Barber's Union. Among the well known manufacturers of Nevada there is none which deserves and enjoys a greater popularity than the Nevada Harness Company, located on 120 West Walnut Street. This business was established in 1902 and has gained a wide recognition among all classes by handling and turning out the best high grade harness, whips, robes and turf goods in general. A specialty is made of manufacturing harness, saddles and executing repair work. Four expert harness makers are employed and 1800 square feet of floor space is utilized in storing and displaying this large and comprehensive stock. The proprietors of this firm are Mr. L. H. Urner and C. C. Urner. The senior member of this firm was born in Virginia, receiving his education in that state. Mr. C. C. Urner, the son, was born and raised in this city. Just opening to the public at 122 east side of the square in a commodious store room, with a large new stock of imported and domestic staple and fancy groceries, canned goods, provisions, fruit, vegetables, etc., this establishment is destined to become one of the leaders. Mr. Samuel, the up-to-date and progressive proprietor was formerly engaged in similar business in this city with his brother on the north side of the square. The line of goods carried is complete in every detail and the prices will compare favorably with those to be found in any metropolis. Mr. Willis R. Samuel was born in Kentucky in 1853 and there educated. He is a member of the I. O. O. F., M. W. A., K. of P., and highly esteemed in the communities. |
