The business has recently changed hands and at present is being conducted by Mr. A. J. Rizor. Mr. Rizor was born in Ohio in 1852 and there educated. Previous to purchasing this store he was engaged in farming.


HOUSTON COAL & WOOD YARD.

      Mr. T. G. Houston is the proprietor and in active management of the coal and wood yard located at the corner of Cedar and Hunter Streets. Mr. Houston has for the past three years been engaged in the coal business, and has built up a successful business. The premises utilized are 60x130 feet,

      Few cities throughout the country can boast of a hotel so perfect in its appointments and so substantial in its general apearance as the Mitchell, Nevada's finest hotel.       The growth and advancement of Nevada in all branches and lines of trade has been little less than marvelous during the past decade. She has grown forward with rapid strides and built up great enterprises which have made her famous the world over as a progressive up-to-date city. Houston was born in Virginia in 1837, and came west in 1869, and has lived in Nevada since 1876. He received his education in Tennessee and was previously engaged in business in this city for thirty years. He was also employed as general collector for the German Fire Insurance Company in Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska for thirteen years. He has been a valued member of the Masons since 1869. each room has been installed. A barber shop and bar are operated in connection. The hotel is conducted on the American plan, $2.00, $2.50 and $3.00. The hotel has been under this management for the past year and has won a place among the city's most necessary institutions as well as being pointed to with pride by every citizen or visitor. Mr. M. W. Moody is the proprietor of this hotel. He formerly conducted hotels and restaurants in Chicago for twenty years. He is a man of wide experience and thoroughly conversant with all details pertaining to this business. Mr. G. A. Moody, son of the proprietor, is manager of this place and it has been owing to his courteous supervision of details that the business has grown to such large proportions. office is located on the southwest corner of the square. The business conducted is handling real estate, buying or selling, exchanging developed or undeveloped properties, making loans on farms or city property, and selling fire insurance. Property in Mexico or almost any part of the country can be obtained through this firm. Information will be furnished and correspondence is solicited. The members of this firm are E. T. Steele, DeWitt Hoover and Henry Dalton. Mr. Steel has been engaged in this business in this community for the past fifteen years. He is the senior member of this firm and founder of this business. Mr. Hoover has been associated with this company for the past three years. Mr. Henry Dalton has been connected with the business for the past year.
